RELEASE: Erickson announces 2015-2016 committee assignments
ST. PAUL, MN—Rep. Sondra Erickson, R-Princeton, announced today her committee assignments for the 2015-2016 legislative session. Erickson, who will begin her ninth (non-consecutive) term in January, will serve on four House committees: Education Innovation Policy, Education Finance, Property Taxes, and the powerful Taxes Committee. Committee assignments were chosen by Speaker-designate Kurt Daudt, R-Crown. Erickson was appointed chair of the Education Innovation Policy Committee earlier this month. Erickson will also chair the Ethics Committee, which handles legislative ethics complaints, and does not meet regularly in the absence of such complaints.
"Minnesota students in all parts of the state deserve a great education, and I look forward to putting my teaching experience to use improving our education system for learners across the state," Erickson said. "I also plan to work to reduce the tax burden on families across the state as a member of the Taxes and Property Taxes Committees."
