Dear Neighbors,
On July 2nd, 1776, 56 patriots signed a document that declared the American Colonies independent from Great Britain, forever changing the world and the course of human history. Two days later, on July 4th, the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Second Continental Congress at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
Within that document, the founders laid out a vision that stated “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Today, we continue to live out those noble ideals set forth so many years ago.
