Happy Veterans Day

Friday, November 10, 2017

Friends,

Today, I would like to take a moment to thank all of our veterans, active military, and their families as we get set to celebrate Veterans Day this weekend.

We recognize the sacrifice brave men and women make in service to our nation, protecting our freedoms and liberties at home and around the world. Everyone who has served in the United States Military is owed an unpayable debt of gratitude, not just from Americans but from all who benefit from the freedom and liberty they protect.

No single military power in history has done greater good, shown greater courage, liberated more people, or upheld higher standards of decency and valor than the Armed Forces of the United States of America. That is a legacy to be proud of, and those who contributed to it must never be taken for granted.

To honor our veterans, we must keep the promises we have made to them. We must care for those who have been injured while serving. We must honor and remember those who have died. And we must remember those whose fate is still undetermined.

So if you are a veteran, thank you for your service. We are the land of the free because of your bravery and sacrifice.

Many local businesses and services are offering discounts this weekend for veterans and current members of the military. A partial list of a few of those businesses offering discounts can be seen here.

Happy Veterans Day!

Sincerely,

Cindy
