Creating Jobs
Coon Rapids’ largest employer, rms Company, is planning to build a new 60,000-foot facility onto its current location. The company anticipates 100 new jobs will be created due to this new facility. It’s amazing to see local businesses thriving, and creating good-paying jobs for our residents. We need to continue our work of making Minnesota more business-friendly to keep great companies like rms.
Career Fair
Speaking of new jobs, Anoka County is holding a career fair on Wednesday, February 22 from 10am until 2pm. The event is free and located at Anoka Technical College. This is a great chance for job-seekers to meet with potential employers and make important connections.
Session Starting
We’re heading back to St. Paul starting on January 3. There’s lots to do in 2017, and I need your helping looking for solutions that fit our area and our state. I encourage you to schedule a time to visit me at the Capitol. It’s so helpful for me to sit down with constituents and learn what’s important to you and your family.
