ST. PAUL, Minn. – On Wednesday, November 18, 2015, Representative Jenifer Loon (R-Eden Prairie) received the Tekne Public Service Award from the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA). She was honored for her work as the House Chief Author of the MNvest crowdfunding legislation which was signed into law this year. MNvest is an equity-based platform that allows individuals to make limited investments in qualified companies.
"Technological advancement is linked to so many aspects of our lives, including improvements in government and public service. It is wonderful to see Minnesota continuing its legacy as a trailblazer in STEM fields as evidenced by the many innovative nominees and winners recognized by MHTA," said Rep. Loon. "It was an honor to receive the Tekne Public Service Award from the Minnesota High Tech Association and attend the ceremony with so many outstanding leaders in education, health care and business."
