Rep. JoAnn Ward holding town hall meeting on June 7 in Woodbury

ST. PAUL, MN – State Representative JoAnn Ward (DFL – Woodbury) is holding a town hall meeting on Saturday, June 7 from 10:00-11:15am at Woodbury City Hall in the Ash and Birch room.

The event is an opportunity for Rep. Ward’s constituents to ask questions and provide feedback about the 2013-2014 legislative session, which many are calling the most productive session in a generation.

Major highlights from the session include:

  • Growing Minnesota’s economy and creating more jobs.
  • Paying back the money borrowed from our schools by the previous Legislature.
  • Making historic investments in education, from early childhood through college.
  • Boosting property tax rebates for homeowners and renters.
  • Helping turn a budget deficit into a surplus.
  • Passing new pay equity requirements and stronger workplace protections for pregnant women and nursing mothers.

The event is free and open to members of the public.

With any questions, contact Rep. Ward by phone at (651) 296-7807, by email at rep.joann.ward@house.mn or by postal mail at 531 State Office Building, 100 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55155.
