REP. ANDERSON TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETINGS

ST. PAUL – Rep. Paul Anderson, R-Starbuck, will host three town hall meetings in District 12B on Saturday, Jan. 30.

The public meetings will take place in Glenwood, Sauk Centre and Melrose. Anderson said the sessions are opportunities for citizens to provide input regarding any number of key issues in preparation for the 2016 legislative session, set to begin March 8 in St. Paul.

"Locally, we can touch on a number of ag.-related issues," Anderson said. "And, statewide, taxes always are a big topic of discussion and that likely will remain the case, especially as we consider options for appropriating the state's projected surplus. I look forward to receiving feedback on these and any other subjects that may be on people's minds."

Anderson said he plans on hosting additional town hall meetings in other district locations soon and will provide details when the itinerary is in place. The first round of meetings includes:

Saturday, Jan. 30 town hall meetings

Glenwood: 8:30 a.m., Glenwood Central Square Cultural & Civic Center, 105 2nd Ave. N.E., Suite 111)

Sauk Centre: 10:30 a.m., Lynx National Golf Course clubhouse, 40204 Primrose Lane

Melrose: 1:30 p.m., Melrose City Center, 225 1st St. N.E.
