Neighbors,

I hope your summer is going well and you’re able to enjoy our beautiful state with family and friends.

July 22 - Frontline Worker Bonus Application Deadline

Frontline workers have one week remaining to apply for a bonus. Money set aside for this program will be split equally among all approved applicants. We all are very appreciative of those who put themselves in harm’s way during the height of the pandemic and encourage them to apply if eligible and to spread the word to friends and family.

Help for our Hometown Heroes

In July 2021, the state legislature passed the Hometown Heroes Assistance Program (HHAP), which dedicates $4 million per year to ensure every Minnesota firefighter has access to the education, prevention and care needed to handle a cardiac, emotional trauma or cancer diagnosis.

Already the program has had an immense impact on firefighters' lives across the state – with free health and wellness resources to protect our hometown heroes and their families. Learn more here.

Stay connected with the Legislature

During an election period, legislators cannot use state resources for unsolicited communications because it might create an unfair advantage for incumbents. Next week, I will send my last update until after the election. I am still available to help with the state-level problems and to discuss important issues in our community, so please reach out if I can assist in any way.

I welcome your questions and comments anytime. You can send an email to rep.luke.frederick@house.mn or can call my legislative assistant, Seth Gellman, at (651) 296-5486.

As always, the Minnesota House of Representatives Public Information Services offers nonpartisan recaps of high-profile bills, committee hearings, and floor sessions with their Session Daily publication. Subscribe to receive these here.

Also, please visit and “like” my Facebook page for more Capitol and community updates.

Thank you for the privilege of representing you in the legislature.

Sincerely,

Luke Frederick
