Education Town Hall on Saturday

Wednesday, October 9, 2019

Rep. Cantrell

Neighbors,

A student's zip code shouldn't determine their ability to succeed. Our community deserves good schools and fully-funded classrooms, but we're facing budget cuts and multiple school closures. I'm planning a town hall focused on addressing this issue so we can improve our schools and build a stronger future for Minnesota. And I want to hear from you!

Who: Myself, Rep. Alice Mann, E-12 Committee Chairs Rep. Jim Davnie and Rep. Cheryl Youakim
When: Saturday, October 12, 1-2:30 PM
Where: Burnsville City Hall, Community Room

During the 2019 session, we approved an education budget that invests in students by increasing per-pupil funding across the state, and closes gaps in funding for special education. But it's not enough to ensure all students have the opportunity to thrive and I want to hear your thoughts on how we can do better.

I hope you'll join us to have your voice heard! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Hunter Cantrell

Your Neighbor and State Representative
