Dear neighbors,
I hope you’re enjoying the first days of fall! This week, I’m highlighting efforts to lower the cost of insulin and prescription drugs and to provide more Minnesotans with opportunities to share their input with legislators.
Making Insulin and Prescription Drugs More Affordable
My colleagues and I are working hard to address the skyrocketing cost of insulin and prescription drugs. We recently held a series of community conversations on this important issue. Minnesotans who’ve been impacted by rising costs shared moving stories at events held throughout the state.
Today, we held a public hearing to share what we’ve learned from Minnesotans and gather more input on solutions. You can watch a video of the meeting here.
Please feel free to share your thoughts on this issue! It helps my colleagues and me find solutions that will work for you and your loved ones.
Legislative Mini-Session
Though the Minnesota House doesn’t officially reconvene until February 2020, we’re holding a mini-session in Winona and the surrounding communities next week. From October 2-4, my colleagues and I will hear from Minnesotans, participate in public committee hearings, and develop a deeper understanding of issues that we hope to tackle next year. I’m looking forward to sharing what I learn next week!
