Governor’s Bonding Proposal
Governor Walz recently released his complete list of recommended projects for capital investment, which will serve as a start to the conversation we’ll be having this year as we draft and debate the 2020 Bonding Bill. I’m thankful that Governor Walz recognized the importance of St. Cloud’s Municipal Athletic Complex and included $12.15 million for the expansion and renovation that I championed in his recommendations.
This much-needed investment would revitalize an important resource that brings in people and revenue from across the state. An investment in the MAC is an investment in our entire community, and I look forward to advocating for this project as a member of the House Capital Investment Committee alongside the Governor’s office this legislative session.
Community Events
Thank you to everyone that showed up to our Climate Change and Clean Energy Forum! This is a big issue, but the enthusiasm and determination that folks brought to our event this week reinforced my belief that we can take on climate change if we work together. A special shout out to Rep. Jamie Long for bringing his expertise to the table. You can read about the success of last night’s event here.
