LEGISLATIVE UPDATE FROM REP. JEREMY MUNSON - DISTRICT 23-B

Friday, July 3, 2020

We are in an exceptional time, with our civil liberties under attack, our economy struggling to come back from the immense regulatory burdens placed on businesses from the reaction to COVID 19.  As your representative in Saint Paul, I will continue to work on your behalf, for a brighter future for ourselves, our children and our grandchildren.  The Founding fathers could not see the future they were creating and their struggles should inspire us to fight for our freedoms, our prosperity and for the pursuit of our happiness this Independence Day.

COVID-19 Testing Update

This week, the State of Minnesota department of health came to Madelia to conduct COVID-19 testing and will be performing these tests again next week. Tests are fully paid by taxpayers and therefore no insurance or co-pay is charged at the testing site.

On Wednesday, July 8th the State of Minnesota, in partnership with the City of St. James, St. James Schools, and Watonwan County Public Health, is offering COVID-19 testing at St. James Middle/Senior High School. More information on this testing location can be found here:  https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/teststjames.html.

Coming up Next Week

The Legislature, both House and Senate have been holding hearings on potential legislation on Public Safety (Police Reform), Covid 19 Recovery and Education Policy (Distance Learning).
