Today is the special day when we honor our veterans.
Veterans fought to protect our freedoms against tyrants, communists, fascists, and socialists for over 240 years. When we win, our citizens continue to enjoy liberty, protected by our military.
Today, as every day, I am thankful to live in a country that values liberty, protected by the brave men and women in our nation’s armed forces.
This morning I was honored to participate in the dedication of Highway 22 Mapleton to Mankato now named the Victory Drive Memorial Highway. It’s a beautiful reminder to those of us who make that drive regularly, of the dedication of those men and women. I hope you get a chance to see it.
