SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Tonight, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz delivered his 2020 State of the State address. Due to his “Stay at Home” order as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, he delivered the message via video from the Governor’s Residence.
Rep. Julie Sandstede (DFL – Hibbing) issued the following statement:
“I was looking forward to seeing the Governor speak at the Capitol, but this history-making State of the State address is another example of the ways we are all adapting during this public health crisis. The lives of health care workers, educators, students, first responders, and more have all been disrupted, and many Minnesotans are experiencing unthinkable economic hardship due to no fault of their own. There are many challenges right now, and I’m thankful to have the leadership of Governor Walz helping provide guidance during this difficult time to keep Minnesotans safe and healthy. We’re still working together to overcome this struggle and help make sure Minnesotans can have a brighter future.”
