Thursday, March 4, 2021

SAINT PAUL, MN – A bill to bring generational reform to the universal standards for mental health (HF 1495) passed out of the Behavioral Health Policy Division Wednesday. Co-author of the bill, Rep. Keith Franke, R-St. Paul Park, released the follow statement after the bill was moved:

“Changing the universal standards for mental health providers would be a huge win for the wellbeing of Minnesotans. This bill would bring long needed reforms to give our mental health providers more time and resources for treating patients. It would also help more Minnesotans access these services quickly and easily.

“As Minority Lead on the Behavioral Health Policy Division, I am proud to stand up for the mental health needs of our state. I look forward to the adoption of the new universal standards that will help all Minnesotans access the care they need.”

HF 1495 has been referred to the House Human Services Finance and Policy Committee.
