SAINT PAUL – Today, Governor Tim Walz announced the appointment of General Shawn Manke as the next Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard. General Manke, who replaces Major General Jon Jensen following his United States Senate confirmation to become director of the Army National Guard, will start on the job August 20.
State Rep. Rob Ecklund (DFL – International Falls), chair of the House Veterans and Military Affairs Division, issued the following statement:
