Lueck gains post on environment and natural resources committee

Tuesday, December 18, 2018

ST. PAUL – State Rep. Dale Lueck, R-Aitkin, has accepted an appointment to serve as the Republican lead on the House’s Environment and Natural Resources Policy Division when the 2019 legislative session begins Jan. 8 in St. Paul.

Lueck, entering his third term in office, has been a member of the House Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance Committee this biennium. He said House District 10A is a diverse area with numerous issues which fit squarely within the environment and natural resources realm, making him a good fit for a leadership position on the policy panel.

“Decisions this committee makes will directly impact our part of the state in a number of ways, so I am pleased to be in a leadership position that will allow me to positively influence outcomes,” Lueck said. “I very much am looking forward to serving a minority lead on the Environmental and Natural Resources Policy Division and am grateful for the vote of confidence that has been place in me to handle this responsibility.”

The full committee roster is in the process of being finalized for the upcoming session.
