State Rep. Eric Lucero, R-Dayton, places his hand on the Bible to be administered the oath Tuesday for the Minnesota House of Representatives swearing-in ceremony at the Capitol in St. Paul to begin the 2021 legislative session.

ST. PAUL – State Rep. Eric Lucero, R-Dayton, placed his hand on the Bible to be sworn into office in the Minnesota House of Representatives Tuesday as the 92nd Legislature began at the Capitol.

"I'm truly humbled and honored to continue serving and fighting for the values and priorities of our great community," Lucero said. "There's a lot of work to do over the next five months including returning to the Constitution by ending the governor's emergency powers, opening businesses back up safely and getting people back to work, investigating allegations that threaten election integrity, fully reopening our schools and youth sports, resolving the budget deficit and passing a two-year funding budget without raising taxes, and much, much more."

Lucero was re-elected last November to serve his fourth two-year term representing District 30B, which includes Albertville, Hanover, Otsego, Saint Michael, and the Wright County portion of Dayton. Rep. Lucero was appointed to serve on the House Commerce Finance & Policy, Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance & Policy, and Capital Investment committees.

"I always value the voices of the people I represent and I look forward to continue receiving correspondence and feedback from constituents," Lucero said.

Constituents are encouraged to contact Lucero by calling (651) 296-1534 or by emailing rep.eric.lucero@house.mn. Lucero also provides periodic email updates and citizens can sign up to receive them at his official state website: www.house.mn/30B.
