News from Dave: Update on "Stay at Home" Order

Wednesday, March 25, 2020

Here we go, friends....times are certainly challenging, but my goodness folks have really stepped up.

Thanks to all who are helping out in the community to feed children, deliver meals on wheels to seniors, and a huge thank you to medical personnel for going above and beyond like never before.

As of this afternoon, we have a “Stay at Home” rule put in place by Governor Walz. There is a link below that answers many questions on who this will impact.

I will be traveling to St. Paul tomorrow to pass urgent legislation inspired by the hours of video and phone calls I’ve had with folks that have been impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. We need to make sure we get this emergency legislation RIGHT without putting more taxpayer funds at risk.

I will send out an overview in the coming days of what we can do to move forward to help families and businesses get back to "normal."

Here is a link to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development that lists all “critical” businesses that would remain open: https://mn.gov/deed/assets/naics-critical-list_tcm1045-424829.pdf

I know that a lot of you have questions about what this means for your business and day-to-day lives. I am including a link to the Governor's full order that explains all the details and provides answers to many of the questions you probably have. Until then, I hope you are practicing good distancing habits to get this darn virus knocked down as quickly as possible. I’ve never been so proud to be a Minnesotan!
