Recently, the St. Louis Park city council chose to abandon the Pledge of Allegiance at their council meetings.
When patriotic protesters attended a council meeting this week to encourage their elected officials to bring back the pledge, council members decided to take time to "study" whether or not it should be recited at the beginning of their meetings.
This shouldn't be a hard decision, the pledge is sacred and I am proud that we open every legislative day with the pledge and a prayer.
