FOSSTON – State Rep. Steve Green, R-Fosston, said he hopes area residents take advantage of an opportunity to participate in three statewide telephone town hall meetings regarding the Enbridge Line 3 replacement project.
Green said he will participate to express his support for the project.
“We’ve been pushing to get this project going for a long time now and it should be done, we can’t let up,” Green said. “Any chance we have to push forward and let our thoughts be known should be taken advantage of. I hope we get good participation from people in our area on these calls.”
During the meetings, the public can share a two-minute comments and/or listen to other public comments regarding the project’s draft permits and 401 certification. The comments will be included in the official public record.
The telephone town halls meetings are scheduled on the following dates and times:
- Thursday, April 2 (2 – 3:30 p.m.)
- Tuesday, April 7 (6:30 – 8 p.m.)
- Thursday, April 9 (10 – 11:30 a.m.)

In addition, the Line 3 public comment period has been extended one week, to Friday, April 10. In addition to the telephone town hall meetings, the public can also submit comments on the MPCA’s website, www.pca.state.mn.us.
