RELEASE: Rep. Quam starts new term at the legislature

SAINT PAUL, MN—Representative Duane Quam, R-Byron, was officially sworn-in Tuesday as the legislature began the 2019 session in St. Paul. Legislators took the oath of office in the House Chamber. Rep. Quam will continue representing District 25A which includes portions of Dodge and Olmsted counties.

"I’m humbled and honored to be returning to the legislature and continue serving the residents of Dodge and Olmsted Counties,” Quam said. "I'm looking forward to working with my colleagues to address the needs and concerns of our community and state: funding the shared priorities of all Minnesotans while working to lower the tax burden on Minnesotans.”

Rep. Quam, who was first elected in 2010, will serve on the following committees: the Government Operations, Higher Education Finance & Policy Division, and State Government Finance Division.

Duane lives in Byron with his wife, Pat. They have two children.
