This session, we funded the Dairy Assistance, Investment and Relief Initiative (DAIRI) program to provide financial assistance for small- to medium-size dairy producers who enroll for five years of coverage in the USDA Farm Service Agency’s Dairy Margin Coverage program. Through the Agriculture and the Jobs bill, we provided $8 million for DAIRI to ensure that our dairy farmers can continue the work that is so vital to our state.
