Other Cannabis News

  • I joined Esme Murphy on WCCO this weekend for an update on our efforts to engage Minnesotans on legalizing cannabis. You can watch the interview here
  • The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announced it will add chronic pain and some eye conditions as new qualifying conditions for the state’s medical cannabis program, beginning in August 2020. The program’s two medical cannabis manufacturers will double the number of patient cannabis treatment centers from 8 to 16 because of legislation we passed during the 2019 Legislative Session. These new sites will mean greater access to cannabis treatment centers, expanding to Willmar, Mankato, Golden Valley, Rogers, Woodbury, Blaine, Duluth and Burnsville.
  • Here's a recap from our meeting last weekend in Rochester.
  • Jennifer Brooks wrote a column for the Star Tribune recently identifying key problems in access and cost to medical cannabis for patients who rely on it to treat a range of symptoms.

3. Talk to your State Senator or State Representative. Not sure who that is? Find them here.
4. Write a letter to the editor to your local paper explaining why you support legalizing cannabis for adult use. Not sure where to begin? Reach out to claire.lancaster@house.mn.

As always, don't hesitate to reach out with questions and suggestions!

Sincerely,
