Legislative Update - December 10, 2018

Monday, December 10, 2018

Dear Neighbors,

I am delighted to serve another term representing the constituents of District 51A. There is a lot of activity taking place right now, both by some of the current committees as well as the new committees. I’m looking forward to serving as chair of the Subcommittee on Local Government. The 2019 legislative session officially begins on January 8th.

HEATING ASSISTANCE
If you or someone you know needs help paying heating bills this winter, the Minnesota Dept. of Commerce is receiving $116 million in federal funds for low-income heating assistance.

Are you paying too much for your internet? Is your internet service meeting your expectations? The Minnesota Office of Broadband Development has created a tool to test your internet speed to see if service providers are delivering the service they promise. Test your internet speed by following the link here and help policymakers learn more about high-speed internet consumer experience across the state.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns you have. It is an honor to serve you.
