The 2019 Legislative Session convened last Tuesday, January 8 and it was a busy week. We are welcoming many new members to the Capitol and it has been an exciting time transitioning into the Majority.
I am taking on a new opportunity as chair of the Housing Finance & Policy Division. We have many challenges ahead of us on this important issue. My committee assignments also include Ways & Means, Transportation Policy & Finance and Legacy.
Staying in touch with the Legislature
With a great deal of work ahead of us, I encourage you to follow the happenings at the State Capitol all session long. The House Public Information Services Office offers streaming video of floor and committee hearings, “Session Daily,” a daily newsletter recapping legislative activity, a YouTube channel, and other informative resources. Please encourage your neighbors to sign-up for these updates, too, which they can do at this link.
