ST. PAUL — State Representative Sondra Erickson, R-Princeton, issued the following statement regarding Governor Walz's announcement lifting the state's Stay at Home order effective Monday, May 18th, and laying out plans to allow the reopening of restaurants, churches, and other businesses in the coming weeks.
“Last evening’s announcement is good news for thousands of small business owners across Minnesota that have been waiting to safely reopen to serve customers and their communities. Thank you to every Minnesotan that contacted Governor Walz. Because of your efforts, Minnesota is slowly starting to reopen. Sadly, many restaurants, salons, and other businesses will unfairly have to wait a few more weeks to reopen. Ultimately, any business that can safely reopen should be allowed to do so. Our state cannot afford to wait any longer.”
