Information Technology Assistant - Republican Caucus (Temporary Position)


The Minnesota House of Representatives has a need for a full-time temporary candidate for the position of Information Technology Assistant during the 2017 legislative session.

This position will provide technical support to staff and Representatives of the Majority Caucus. This position becomes part of a team providing computer support for approximately 150 users.

Ideal candidate will have experience assisting in the maintenance and troubleshooting of a Novell network and its related hardware/software. Must demonstrate an interest in learning new computer applications and experience providing hardware and software support of desktop and/or notebook computers and associated peripherals.

Working knowledge of Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office 2013 is required. Also, require a working knowledge of iOS/android devices. Ability to work effectively with minimal work direction essential. Experience with Novell GroupWise preferred. Candidates must also be able to regularly lift 40 pounds and be able to physically install and/or relocate computer equipment. Must have the ability to work long and irregular hours especially during session. BA/BS desired.

Entry salary $885.20 per week, commensurate with experience.
