POSITION: This opportunity is for one student research assistant to support Legislative Analysts, who are nonpartisan staff in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Research assistants perform general research tasks in a variety of public policy areas, depending on issues arising in the state legislative process. A portion of the work involves education finance.
QUALIFICATIONS: An applicant must be a graduate student, or senior undergraduate, who is an enrolled student for fall 2018. A successful applicant will have excellent writing and general research skills, quantitative research capability, and database or spreadsheet skills. Knowledge or interest in state policy matters is desirable.

TERM & HOURS: The position is temporary and part-time for the remainder of the academic year. It is for roughly 15-20 hours/week, depending on need. The work schedule is flexible.
PAY RANGE: The pay range is $19.97 to $31.52 per hour for graduate students, depending on qualifications and educational level, and $16.13 to $19.97 per hour for undergraduates.
