Full-time position responsible for planning, coordinating and providing media staff services to DFL members of the Minnesota House of Representatives including ongoing strategic message implementation.
Qualifications include proven managerial, training and supervisory skills and the ability to express complex issues in terms the public can understand. Knowledge of the use of social media necessary. PC experience and knowledge of Word, Excel and/or other spreadsheet programs, and Adobe strongly desired.
Must have excellent human relations, writing and editing skills. Knowledge of media relations, legislative process, and state government a must. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with Caucus members and staff. Work with Caucus Leadership and the Director of Communications and Public Affairs to ensure individual members’ media needs are met. Long and irregular hours are to be expected.
Entry salary: $2,805.65 semi-monthly commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits.
