MINUTES

Representative Rick Hansen, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. March 1, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll

Representative Ecklund moved that the minutes of February 24, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Ecklund moved that HF 3726 (Ecklund) be recommended to be re-referred to the Legacy Finance Committee.

Representative Ecklund presented HF 3726; Outdoor heritage fund money appropriated.

Testifying on HF 3726:
- Mark Johnson, Executive Director, Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council.
- Joe Pavelko, Assistant Director, Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council.
- Dave Carlson, President, Minnesota Outdoor Heritage Alliance.

Representative Ecklund renewed his motion that HF 3726 be recommended to be re-referred to the Legacy Finance Committee.

Chair Hansen directed the clerk to take the roll on HF 3726.

Representative Ecklund moved that HF 2814 (Ecklund) be laid over.

Representative Ecklund presented HF 2814; Farmed Cervidae owner requirements modified, chronic wasting disease live-animal testing required, and money appropriated.

Representative Ecklund renewed his motion that HF 2814 be laid over. The bill was laid over.

Vice-Chair Wazlawik assumed the gavel at 2:22 P.M.

Representative Hansen moved that HF 3616 (Hansen) be recommended to be re-referred to Ways and Means.

Representative Hansen moved that the A1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Ecklund assumed the gavel at 2:24 P.M.

Representative Hansen moved that the A2 amendment be adopted.

Vice Chair Wazlawik assumed the gavel at 2:25 P.M.

Representative Hansen renewed his motion that the A2 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hansen presented HF 3616, as amended, Tourism industry recovery grant program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Hansen renewed his motion that HF 3616, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to Ways and Means.

Vice-Chair Wazlawik directed the clerk to take the roll on HF 3616, as amended.
