MINUTES

Representative Rick Hansen, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. February 10, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Backer moved that the minutes of February 8, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Hansen moved that HF 836 (Richardson) be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Hansen moved that the DE1 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Richardson presented HF 836, as amended, Metropolitan landfill contingency action trust account money transferred.

Testifying on HF 836 as amended:
- Kirk Koudelka, Assistant Commissioner, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency

Chair Hansen renewed his motion that HF 836, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

Representative Wazlawik presented HF 2906 (Wazlawik) PFAS prohibited in cosmetics, HF 2907 (Wazlawik) PFAS prohibited in cookware, and HF 2952 (Wazlawik) PFAS prohibited in ski wax.

Representative Wazlawik renewed her motion that HF 2907, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee.
