Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual State Government Finance Committee meeting to order at 2:00 PM, April 27, 2020 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

HF 1603 (Dehn); making policy and technical changes to various election and 1.3 campaign finance related provisions; providing automatic voter registration; 1.4 restoring the voting rights of persons with felony convictions; providing early 1.5 voting; authorizing automatic absentee ballot delivery; authorizing ranked-choice 1.6 voting; adopting the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact; modifying 1.7 campaign finance reporting requirementsfor Hennepin County elections and certain 1.8 political subdivisions in Hennepin County; modifying definition of expressly 1.9 advocating; requiring reporting of electioneering communications; establishing a 1.10 redistricting commission; appropriating money.
