MINUTES
Representative Mariani, Chair of the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 12:49 P.M. on February 26th, 2019, in room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 950 (Christensen) Minnesota School Safety Center funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Christensen moved to amend HF950 with the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAIL AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Mariani laid HF950 over for possible inclusion in an Omnibus bill.

HF 812 (Wazlawik) Criminal sexual conduct offenses for persons in authority positions over juveniles expanded.

Representative Wazlawik presented HF812.

Chair Mariani (Dehn) laid over HF812 for possible inclusion in an Omnibus bill.

HF 89 (Grossell) Child pornography offenses penalties increased, mandatory minimum sentences created, and Sentencing Guidelines Commission directed to modify sex offender grid.

Representative Grossell presented HF89.

Testifiers in Support of HF89:
Heather Holden, Bemidji Police Department.

Chair Mariani laid HF89 over for possible inclusion in an Omnibus bill.

Representative Considine moved to reconsider the vote by which HF50 was referred to the Judiciary and Civil Law Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Considine moved to return HF50, as amended, to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The meeting adjourned at 2:03 P.M.
