Representative John Lesch, Chair of the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Division, called the virtual committee meeting to order at 9:51 A.M. on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

HF 1197 (Lesch): The first bill we’ll be hearing is HF 1197 (Lesch): which is serving as a vehicle bill for my DE amendment to suspend statutory deadlines in district and appellate courts during the peacetime emergency;

Chair Lesch moved that HF 1197 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Chair Lesch moved to adopt the DE1 amendment.
