MINUTES

Representative Hansen, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 12:45 P.M. on February 27th, 2020, in Hearing Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Hansen called the meeting to order at 12:45 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Fischer moved to approve the minutes of February 20th, 2020. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3524 (Morrison) Lawns to legumes program funding provided, previous appropriation canceled, and money appropriated.

Representative Morrison moved that HF3524 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future bill.

Representative Morrison renewed the motion that HF3524 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future bill. The bill was laid over.

Vice Chair Claflin assumed the gavel at 1:16 P.M.

Angie Becker Kudelka and Sharon Doucette, Board of Water and Soil Resources, provided an overview and update on the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) and the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP).

HF3431 (Tabke) State incentives for conservation reserve program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Vice Chair Claflin moved that HF3431 be recommended to be re-referred to the Energy and Climate Finance and Policy Division.

Vice Chair Claflin renewed the motion that HF3431 be recommended to be re-referred to the Energy and Climate Finance and Policy Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2957 (Hansen) Conservation Reserve Program state incentive funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Hansen moved that HF2957 be recommended to be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Chair Hansen renewed the motion that HF2957 be recommended to be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
