MINUTES

Representative Pinto, Chair of the Committee, called the remote Early Childhood Finance and Policy Division meeting to order at 8:01am on Thursday, April 23, 2020 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

A quorum was present.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that the minutes from April 16th, 2020 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3954 (Koegel) - Head Start funding allocation modified, and money appropriated.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that HF3954 be re-referred to the Education Finance Division.

Representative Koegel presented HF3954.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn renewed her motion that HF3954 be re-referred to the Education Finance Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Kotyza-Witthuhn assumed the gavel at 8:19 am.

HF4374 (Pinto): Child care assistance provider reimbursement rates modified.

Chair Pinto moved HF4374 be re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Division.

Chair Pinto presented HF4374.

Chair Pinto moved that the H4374A1 amendment be added to HF4374. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Pinto renewed his motion that HF4374, as amended, be re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Pinto resumed the gavel at 8:42 am.

HF3678 (Bahner): Income and asset exclusion expiration date extended for public assistance program eligibility as part of the income and child development in the first three year of life demonstration project.

Representative Bahner moved that HF3678 be recommended for placement on the General Register.

Representative Bahner presented HF3678.
