MINUTES

Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Education Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 9:46 am on April 4, 2019 in The Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Huot moved that the minutes from April 2, 2019 be approved. Motion prevailed.

Chair Davnie moved that HF 2400 be referred back to the committee on Ways & Means.

Chair Davnie moved that the DE1 amendment to HF 2400 be adopted by the committee. Motion prevailed.

Chair Davnie moved that the author’s A30 amendment be adopted by the committee.

Chair Davnie informationally walked-through the amendment.

Chair Davnie renewed the motion that the author’s A30 amendment be adopted by the committee. Motion prevailed.

The Chair moved that an oral be adopted by the committee; page 242, line 11, delete “387,000” and insert “347,000”. Motion prevailed.

Rep. Kotyza-Witthuhn informationally walked-through the A32 amendment.

Rep. Davnie offered four individual parts to be adopted; the first part, lines 1.3 to 1.8; the second part, lines 1.9 to 2.4; the third part, lines 2.5 to 2.11; and the fourth part, lines 2.12 to 2.13.

Rep. Kresha moved that the first part of the A32 amendment, lines 1.3 to 1.8, be adopted by the committee. Motion prevailed.

Rep. Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that the second part of the A32 amendment, lines 1.9 to 2.4, be adopted by the committee. Motion prevailed.

Rep. Daniels moved that the third part of the A32 amendment, lines 2.5 to 2.11, be adopted by the committee. Motion prevailed.

Rep. Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that fourth part of the A32 amendment, lines 2.12 to 2.13, be adopted by the committee. Motion prevailed.

The A32 amendment was adopted by the committee in its entirety.

Rep. Youakim moved that the A8 amendment be adopted by the committee.

Rep. Youakim informationally walked-through the amendment.

Rep. Youakim renewed the motion that the A8 amendment be adopted by the committee. Motion prevailed.

Rep. Huot moved that the A18 amendment be adopted by the committee.

Rep. Huot informationally walked-through the amendment.

Rep. Huot renewed the motion that the A18 amendment be adopted by the committee. Motion prevailed.

Rep. Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that the A19 amendment be adopted by the committee.
