MINUTES

Representative McDonald, Vice Chair of the Taxes Committee, began the meeting at 10:15 AM, on February 7, 2017, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative McDonald officially called the meeting to order at 10:18 AM. A quorum was present.

Representative Schultz moved the minutes from February 2, 2017 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF299 (Swedzinski) Construction material exemption provisions modified, and refund provision added.

Representative Metsa moved HF299 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Metsa renewed his motion that HF299 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF456 (Freiberg) Construction material exemption provisions modified.

Representative Carlson moved HF456 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Carlson renewed his motion that HF456 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF757 (Nornes) Building material and supply purchase exemption provided.

Representative Gruenhagen moved HF757 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Gruenhagen renewed his motion that HF757 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

HF605 (McDonald) Annual city celebration exemption provided, and threshold for duration of premises leases for nonprofit.

Representative McDonald moved HF605 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative McDonald moved the H0605A1 amendment. THE AMEDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
