MINUTES

Representative Pat Garofalo, Chair of the Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, in the Basement Hearing Room in the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF2209 (Garofalo) Labor standards and apprenticeship division funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Garofalo moved HF2209 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Garofalo moved the H2209DE2 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Garofalo moved the H2209A37 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Layman moved the H2209A13 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Mahoney moved the H2209A7 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.

Representative Baker moved the H2209A26 amendment be adopted.

Representative Baker requested division on the H2209A26 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Thissen moved the H2209A14 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Thissen moved the H2209A35 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.

Representative Thissen moved the H2209A38 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Mahoney withdrew the H2209A22 amendment.

Representative Metsa withdrew the H2209A33 amendment.

Representative Clark moved the H2209A36 amendment be adopted.

Representative Clark moved to divide the H2209A36 amendment between page 1, line 7 and page 1, line 8. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Clark withdrew line 1.8 through line 1.20 of the H2209A36 amendment.

Representative Clark moved line 1.1 through line 1.7 of the H2209A36 amendment be adopted.

Representative Clark incorporated an oral amendment to the H2209A36 amendment, as amended: On page 1, line 4, and page 1, line 6, delete “each year”.

Representative Clark renewed her motion that H2209A36, as amended, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Garofalo moved an oral amendment to HF2209, as amended: On page 65, line 8, delete “2030” and insert “2028” and on page 65, line 11, delete “5” and insert “3”. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Garofalo moved that Non-Partisan committee staff is authorized to make any technical changes necessary to reflect the will of the committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Garofalo renewed his motion that HF2209, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. Representative Mahoney requested a roll call vote. The results were as follows:
