MINUTES

Representative Loon, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:06 P.M. on March 8th, 2017, in Room Five of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Erickson moved that the minutes of March 7th, 2017 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1428 Daudt, Nonresident tuition rate clarified for court-placed students.

Representative Loon moved that that HF1428 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill or for further action at a later time.

Representative Daudt testified on HF1428.

Kate Lynne Snyder, Deputy Director Governmental Affairs at Minnesota Department of Education testified on HF1428.

Representative Loon renewed the motion that HF1428 be laid over for possible inclusion in an om-nibus bill or for further action at a later time.

HF786 Davids, Maximum effort capital loan additional early repayments authorized.

Representative Loon moved that HF786 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Loon moved the H0786DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davids testified on HF786, as amended.

HF485 Anderson, Agricultural educator grant program established, and money appropriated.

Representative Loon moved that HF485 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill or for further action at a later time.

Representative Loon moved the H0485A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Paul Anderson testified on HF485, as amended.
