COMMERCE AND REGULATORY REFORM COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Joe Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee, began the meeting at 3:00 PM on March 14, 2018, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF3480 (Barr) Consumer report security freezes regulated, and payment of fees provided.

Chair Hoppe officially called the meeting to order at 3:08 PM. A quorum was present.

Representative Barr moved that HF3480 be re-referred to the Civil Law and Data Practices Policy Committee.

Representative Hilstrom moved the H3480A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Barr renewed the motion that HF3480, as amended, be re-referred to the Civil Law and Data Practices Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Smith moved to approve the minutes from March 13, 2018. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3567 (Loonan) Affinity group coverages and insurance fraud regulated.

Representative Loonan moved that HF3567 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Loonan moved the H3567A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Loonan renewed the motion that HF3567, as amended, be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3217 (Loonan) Pari-mutuel horse racing provisions relating to licensing and regulation modified.

Representative Loonan moved that HF3217 be re-referred to the Government Operations and Elections Policy Committee.

HF3622 (Hoppe) Reinsurer accreditation and certification requirements changed.

Representative Hoppe moved that HF3622 be re-referred to the Civil Law and Data Practices Policy Committee.
