MINUTES

Representative Joe Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee began the meeting at 3:01 PM on March 14th, 2017, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF1209 (Tony Cornish) Veterans benefit service disclosure requirements provided, and veterans affairs commissioner required to develop a disclosure statement.

Chair Hoppe officially called the meeting to order at 3:10 PM. A quorum was present.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF1209 be re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.

Chair Hoppe renewed the motion that HF1209 be re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Fenton moved to approve the minutes of March 8th, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1832 (Debra Kiel) Health plans required to indicate coverage level of anticancer medication.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF1832 be re-referred to the General Register.

Chair Hoppe renewed the motion that HF1832 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2026 (Steve Drazkowski) Freedom to Choose Customized Insurance

Chair Hoppe moved that HF2026 be re-referred to the Health and Human Services Reform Committee.

Chair Hoppe moved the H2026A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVIALED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Applebaum requested a roll call vote on HF2026.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF2026, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion.

HF1046 (Bob Loonan) Minnesota Joint Underwriting Association regulated, and association authorized to provide liquor liability and medical malpractice coverage.

Representative Loonan moved that HF1046 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Loonan moved the H1046A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVIALED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
