STATE OF MINNESOTA FOURTH MEETING
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES EIGHTY-NINTH SESSION
LEGACY FUNDING FINANCE COMMITTEE
Representative Dean Urdahl, Chair of the Legacy Funding Finance Committee, called the fourth meeting to order at 12:49P.M. on Monday, February 16, 2015 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
A quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Miller moved to approve the minutes of February 9, 2015 with the following correction, “…called the third meeting to order…” THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Brian Newhouse and Lisa Radzak from Minnesota Public Radio presented the organization’s request for Legacy funds and testified about past uses of Legacy dollars.
Bill Strusinski, of Friends of Minnesota Public Television, and Terry O’Reilly, of the Minnesota Public Television Association, presented Minnesota Public Television’s request for Legacy funds, and testified about how Legacy dollars have been used in the past to develop programing.
Dianne Krizan of the Minnesota Children’s Museum presented the museum’s request for Legacy funds, and related how past allocations have been used by the Minnesota Children’s Museum, and by children’s museums across the state.
Joel Glaser of the Association of Minnesota Public Education Radio Stations presented AMPERS Legacy fund request, and related how past funds have been used.
Christina Ham testified about how a Legacy-funded grant she received through AMPERS made possible her research and work in writing a historical radio drama.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:02 P.M.
