MINUTES

Representative Mack, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform Committee, officially called the meeting to order at 3:36 PM on March 8th, 2016, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mack officially called the meeting to order at 3:36 PM. A quorum was present.

HF2572 (Zerwas) Children’s advocacy center membership on multidisciplinary child protection teams provided.

Representative Zerwas moved HF2572 be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Elections Policy.

Testifying in support of HF2572 was Marcia Milliken, Executive Director with Minnesota Children’s Alliance.

Representative Zerwas renewed his motion that HF2572 be re-referred to the Committee on Government Operations and Election Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2564 (Zerwas) Ambulance and emergency services exemption modified.

Representative Zerwas moved HF2564 be re-referred to the committee on Health and Human Services Finance Committee.

Testifying in support of HF2564 was Buck McAlpin, Minnesota Ambulance Association.

Representative Zerwas renewed his motion that HF2564 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2609 (Kiel) Community behavioral health clinic requirements modified.

Representative Mack moved that HF2609 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Kiel presented her bill HF2609.

Testifying in support of HF2609 were Mary Krinkie, Minnesota Hospital Association, and Pahoua Yang, AH Wilder Foundation.

Representative Mack renewed her motion that HF2609 be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Representative Mack adjourned the meeting at 4:19 PM.
