HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Dean, Chair of the Health and Human Services Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:26pm on March 16th, 2016, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Dean started the meeting at 1:20pm, a quorum was NOT present.

A quorum was present at 1:25pm. The meeting was called to order at 1:26pm.

Representative McDonald moved approval of the February 3rd and March 15th 2016 minutes. The motion PREVAILED. The minutes were APPROVED.

Representative Schomacker moved that HF 2833 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Schomacker presented on HF 2833.

Representative Schomacker renewed his motion that HF 2833 be re-referred to the General Register. The Motion PREVAILED.

Representative Dean moved that HF 2534 be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance.

Representative Albright; Jennifer Mohlenhoff, Executive Director, MN Board of Marriage and Family Therapy; Marshall Shragg, Executive Director, Board of Physical Therapy; and Cody Wiberg, Executive Director, Board of Pharmacy testified on HF 2534.

Representative Dean renewed his motion that HF 2534 be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance. The Motion PREVAILED.

Representative McDonald assumed the gavel at 1:44pm.

Representative McDonald moved that HF 2609 be laid over.

Representative McDonald moved the A1 amendment. The motion PREVAILED.

Representative Kiel; Claire Wilson, Executive Director, MN Association of Community Mental Health Programs (MACMHP); and Shauna Reitmeier, Executive Director, Northwest Mental Health Center testified on HF 2609, as amended.

Representative McDonald renewed his motion that HF 2609, as amended, be laid over. The Motion PREVAILED.

Representative Zeraws moved that HF 2564 be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Zerwas moved the A1 amendment. The motion PREVAILED.

Representative Zerwas and Buck McAlpin, MN Ambulance Association testified on HF 2564, as amended.

Representative Zerwas renewed his motion that HF 2564, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes. The Motion PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 2:24pm.
