MINUTES

Representative Dean, Chair of the Health and Human Services Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:53pm on April 9th, 2015, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Dean called the meeting to order at 12:53pm, a quorum was NOT present.

A quorum was present at 1:02pm. The meeting was called to order at 1:03pm.

Representative Dean moved that HF 1209 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill.

Representative Dean moved the A3 amendment. The motion PREVAILED.

Representative Barrett; Sean Haines, Stomp out Suicide; Donna Fox, National Alliance on Mental Illness of Minnesota, testified on HF 1209, as amended.

Representative Dean renewed his motion that HF 1209, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill. The motion PREVAILED.

Representative Dean moved that HF 1843 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill.

Representative Smith; Brian Dejewski, Director of Operations, Mobile Hope; Peter Woitock, Community Organizer, Hunger Solutions; Byron Laher, Vice President, Community Emergency Assistance Programs Kari Sheldon, all testified on HF 1843.

Representative Dean renewed his motion that HF 1843 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill. The motion PREVAILED.

Representative Dean moved that HF 1061 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill.

Representative Miller; Jeff Bauer, Director of Public Policy, The Family Partnership; Beth Holger-Ambrose, Executive Director, The Link; Quisha Stewart, Safe Harbor Division Director, The Link, all testified on HF 1061.

Representative Dean renewed his motion that HF 1061 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill. The motion PREVAILED.

Representative Hamilton moved that HF 564 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill.

Representative Hamilton and Lance Hegland, testified on HF 564.

Representative Hamilton renewed his motion that HF 564 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill. The motion PREVAILED

Representative Hamilton moved that HF 975 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill.

Representative Hamilton moved the A1 amendment. The motion PREVAILED.

Representative Hamilton; Steve Larson, The Arc Minnesota; Dan Zimmer, Region Ten Quality Commission, testified on HF 975, as amended.

Representative Hamilton renewed his motion that HF 975, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill. The motion PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:31pm.
