MINUTES

Representative Sondra Erickson, Chair of the Education Innovation Policy Committee, began the meeting at 8:20 AM on March 17, 2015, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 8:34 AM and the meeting was called to order.


Representative Drew Christensen moved to approve the minutes of March 13, 2015. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Roger Aronson with Elementary and Secondary School Principals testified to House File 1591DE1.

Jim Bartholomew with Minnesota Business Partnership testified to House File 1591DE1.

Cyndy Crist with Minnesota Association of Colleges for Teacher Education testified to House File 1591DE1.

Brad Lundell with Minnesota Administrators for Special Education testified to House File 1591DE1.

Gary Amoroso, Executive Director of Minnesota Association of School Administrators, testified to House File 1591DE1.

Sue Abderholden, Executive Director of National Alliance on Mental Illness Minnesota, testified to House File 1591DE1.

Denise Dettrich with Minnesota School Boards Association testified to House File 1591DE1.
Holly Kragthorpe with Minneapolis Public Schools and Educators for Excellence testified to House File 1591DE1.

Fred Nolan with Minnesota Rural Education Association testified to House File 1591DE1.

Joshua Crosson with MinnCAN testified to House File 1591DE1.

Mary Hartnett, Executive Director of Commission of Deaf, DeafBlind & Hard of Hearing Minnesotans, testified to House File 1591DE1.

Sam Walseth with Minnesota Rural Education Association, Education Districts and Educational Cooperatives testified to House File 1591DE1.

Josh Downham with Minneapolis Public Schools testified to House File 1591DE1.
