EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Ron Kresha, Vice-Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:47 p.m. on February 17th, 2015, in Room Five of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Selcer moved that the minutes of February 12th, 2015, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2, First Engrossment, Loon, Teacher licensure and employment conditions clarified; alternative teacher licensure amended; teacher licensure reciprocity with adjoining states provided; license via portfolio, exemption for technical education instructors, teachers' unrequested leaves of absence and teaching assignments decisions, and teacher examination requirements clarified; and placing students with ineffective teachers prohibited.

Representative Loon moved to recommend HF2, First Engrossment, be placed on the General Register.

Representative Loon moved the H0002A20 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kresha recessed the meeting at 2:33 p.m. to reconvene at 5:15 p.m. or at the call of the Chair.

Representative Kresha reconvened the meeting at 5:17 p.m.

Representative Bennett moved the H0002A15 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Loon renewed her motion to recommend HF2, First Engrossment, as amended, to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Peterson requested a roll call vote. The results were as follows:
