MINUTES

Representative Lenczewski, Chair of Committee Taxes, called the joint meeting to order on March 5, at 12:30 PM in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Marquart moved HF 606

Representative Marquart moved the H00606A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Dehn presented HF 606 as amended (Dehn) Compact development authority reenacted and modified.

The following person testified on HF 606 as amended:

Jim Erkel, Director, Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy

HF 606 as amended was laid over for possible inclusion to an Omnibus Tax bill.

Representative Simonson moved HF 617

Representative Hornstein presented HF 617 (Hornstein) Transit improvement districts authorized.

Representative Liebling moved the H0706A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Nelson presented HF 706 (Nelson) Tax increment financing temporary authority extended.

HF 706 as amended was laid over for possible inclusion to an Omnibus Tax bill.

Representative Urdahl presented HF 823 (Urdahl) Glencoe tax increment financing district extended.
